Lollipop was written by Beverley Ross and Julius Dixon from The Chordettes. This movie had me scared and nervous from start to finish. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a good horror film, but the story is a bit patchy, but most of the time it’s well written. The acting is also excellent, which is not often seen in horror films. The movie is very well directed and the first girl who dies in the movie has the most unpleasant smile I have ever seen in my entire life. Especially when the therapist starts seeing her as an illusion in the dark. It really bothered me. Then there was a smile that wasn’t quite as scary as the patient Carl’s. The pace of the film is excellent. The fear increased as the story progressed. The ending really stuck in my brain and I really thought I was going to have nightmares that night, which doesn’t happen to me very often. The day after I watched this movie, a car passed me and the old man behind the wheel looked at me and smiled… all I could think about was this movie. This was Parker Finn’s first film. I really hope he does more movies like this. A great start to his career as a writer/director. well done!
