In flashbacks, the family joins a cosmic pilgrimage that promises salvation on Jupiter. As the past reveals their struggles, their teenage daughter must decide whether to follow her parents’ faith or forge her own path on Earth. Remake of Jupiter (2019). "Jupiter" A finely crafted film that manages to immerse us in the inner world of a teenage girl who faces not only the challenges of insecurity, but also the difficult experiences of her disabled younger brother and her parents' descent into madness. It is a dizzying landscape and space that borders on sci-fi, even psychological horror. In the discussion after the film, I realized that the first comment was one of sympathy for the parents. I had to retort that the children are tragically and inexplicably neglected in the madness and terror of the world. I even noticed that many adults were beyond help. The director insists that they be reintegrated into a "good democratic society" and that even their terrible actions are overlooked (and well-intentioned). Even so, his film feels like a vulnerable dissection of troubled adults, but a children’s film p. S. It won the Sofia Film Festival’s Youth Jury Prize for film in international competition.
